According to the latest update, Gemini TV has acquired the satellite rights of Mahesh Babu starrer Maharshi for the fancy price of Rs 16.8 Cr. This is the highest amount that Gemini TV has spent for a Mahesh Babu starrer till date.
DJ and Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava fame Pooja Hegde is playing the love interest of Mahesh Babu whereas Allari Naresh will be seen playing Mahesh Babu’ friend in Maharshi, which is being directed by Vamsi Paidipally of Oopiri fame and is bankrolled by C. Ashwini Dutt, Dil Raju and Prasad V. Potluri, under the banners of Vyjayanthi Movies, Sri Venkateswara Creations and PVP Cinema. The film has the music by sensational music composer Devi Sri Prasad.
The promotional activities of Mahesh Babu and Pooja Hegde starrer Maharshi has been already started. The first lyrical song ‘Choti Choti Baatein’ from the flick was released a couple of days ago which received an overwhelming response from listeners. The meaningful lyrics in this peppy number are penned by Shree Mani, Devi Sri Prasad’ soulful rendition and energetic music added that magical touch. The song is all about friendship and its unforgettable moments.
Apart from the lead pair, Maharshi also has other stars like Jagapathi Babu, Sonal Chauhan, Sai Kumar, Prakash Raj, Naresh, Jayasudha, Posani Krishna Murali, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Meenakshi Dixit, and Prakash Raj in supporting roles.
