YSR Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who filed his nomination papers, has declared assets worth Rs 375 Cr in his election affidavit. His wife has declared assets worth over Rs 124 Cr and their two daughters have assets worth Rs 6.5 Cr and Rs 4.6 Cr, taking the family’s total assets to Rs 510 Cr. The affidavit says Jagan Mohan Reddy has 31 criminal cases related to defamation, assault and criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of the duty, criminal conspiracy, criminal intimidation, forgery and rioting among others.
He declared his assets on Friday while filing nomination for Pulivendula Assembly constituency in Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh. The amount was declared by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who filed his nomination papers with the returning officer for the Pulivendula constituency in Kadapa district on Friday. Jagan Mohan Reddy, who is contesting from his homeground, has his eyes on the Chief Minister’ seat if his party, YSRCP, manages to win a majority in the upcoming elections which is going to be held on 11th April.
Jagan Mohan Reddy, the son of former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, also mentioned that he owns no vehicle.
Jagan Mohan Reddy and his wife carry very less of cash in hand. Both had only Rs 43,560 and Rs 49,390 in cash.
In 2014, Jagan Mohan Reddy’ total movable assets were Rs 313 Cr while that of his wife were Rs 57 Cr. His immovable assets were worth Rs 30 Cr and his wife Bharathi’s were worth Rs 14 Cr in the same year. This means Jagan Mohan Reddy’ total assets in 2014 were Rs 344 Cr while his wife’s total assets were 72 Cr, taking the total family assets to approximately Rs 416 Cr. This means that the assets of the YSRCP chief’s family increased by close to Rs 100 Cr in the last 5 years.
