Recently Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has announced a bonanza for the state’s farmers. He declared financial assistance of Rs 4,000 per acre every year to the farmers to buy the fertilizers. The amount will be deposited in the accounts of farmers before the Kharif season in the last week of May, from the next financial year. According to KCR, the farmers associations will monitor all issues related to farmers and agriculture.
On the other side, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has also approved ‘Annadata sukhibhava’ under which the state government will give annual financial assistance of Rs 4,000 to every farmer in the state. On Saturday, Chandrababu Naidu announced enhancement of cash payment from Rs 4,000 to Rs 9,000.. The CM Naidu said that his government would transfer Rs 4,000 to farmers’ accounts before elections and the balance after polls.
Narendra Modi has also announced direct benefit transfer (DBT) worth Rs 4,000 per acre per season plus interest-free crop loan up to Rs 1 lakh per farmer in an instant two-fold relief to the farmers. DBT (direct benefit transfer) will be given at the rate of Rs 4,000 per acre per season for cropping while zero interest loan will be at the rate of Rs 50,000 per hectare to be capped at Rs 1 lakh per farmer. The Centre will transfer the benefits with the cap of Rs 4,000 per acre per season.
Started by Telangana Chief Minister depositing Rs 4,000 per acre, now implementing by Chandrababu Naidu and Narendra Modi, Are these government Schemes or Daylight bribery? These schemes are merely to buy the votes. What is Election Commission doing? The government incompetence and arrogance has destroyed the lives of our farmers. It’s better to increase the taxes on business people and give it to the farmers and salaried employees.
