Actor Shakthi Vasudevan, the son of noted filmmaker P Vasu, was caught red handed and he was booked for drunk and driving case. According to the latest update, Former Bigg Boss contestant Shakthi Vasudevan’s car collided with another car and he attempted to speed away, only to be stopped by the public.
The Police said, P Vasu’s son Shakthi Vasudevan, who was driving a luxury car at Elango Adigal Street at Choolaimedu, hit a car at around 3 pm. While the car fled without stopping, passers-by chased and surrounded it. The public found actor Shakthi Vasudevan with his two friends behind the wheel.
The Police added, based on the other car owner’s complaint, Shakthi Vasudevan was then handed over to Anna Nagar traffic investigation police. The actor along with his friend was reportedly taken for a medical check-up, after which the police booked the actor under section 279 (rash and negligent driving) of IPC and section 185 (drunk driving) of Motor Vehicles Act. Later he was released on bail.
P Vasu is a director, writer and actor who works in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam films. In a career spanning three decades, Vasu has directed over 50 films. His Telugu directorial ventures are Sahasame Jeevitham, Prudhvi Narayana, Maharadhi, Shivalinga and Nagavalli. As an actor he was last seen in Telugu movie Kathanayakudu. On the otherside, his son Shakthi Vasudevan started his career as a child-artiste and acted in a couple of movies before turning hero with Thottal Poo Malarum. He was also part of the first season of Bigg Boss Tamil, which was hosted by Kamal Haasan. As an actor Shakthi Vasudevan was last seen in 7 Naatkal in 2017.
