The Accidental Prime Minister trailer talkThe Accidental Prime Minister trailer has been out! The film  starring Anupam Kher as former PM Manmohan Singh, is based on the book of the same name by Sanjaya Baru. Akshay Khanna is playing Sanjaya Baru, who was the media adviser of Manmohan Singh, in the film, which is scheduled to hit the theaters on 11th January 2019. I know I will get many opportunities to thank you but today being the release of our trailer of #TheAccidentalPrimeMinister I want to say that you have been an amazing and most giving co-actor. Your brilliance rubbed on me and it helped me bring out my best. You are an inspiration. See you at the trailer launch. Jai Ho”

Anupam Kher is playing the role of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The film – The Accidental Prime Minister, chronicles the life of politician-economist Manmohan who served as India’s PM from 2004-2014.

The upcoming film delves deep into the internal politics of the Congress party and how Manmohan Singh found himself in the middle of it.

The Accidental Prime Minister is directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte and written by Mayank Tewari. Anupam Kher will be seen as Manmohan Singh, the economist and politician who served as the Prime Minister of India from 2004 to 2014 under the United Progressive Alliance. Suzanne Bernert is playing the role of Sonia Gandhi, former president of Indian National Congress.

Aahana Kumra is playing the role of Priyanka Gandhi, daughter of Sonia Gandhi. Arjun Mathur will be seen as Rahul Gandhi, the son of Sonia Gandhi, Abdul Quadir Amin as Ajay Singh, Vimal Verma as Lalu Prasad Yadav, Avter Saini as Lal Krishna Advani, Anil Rastogi as Shivraj Patil, Ajit Satbhai as P. V.Narasimha_Rao, the former prime minister of India  and Chitragupta Sinha as P. V. Ranga Rao, the Elder son of P.V.Narasimha Rao.
