KCR (K. Chandrashekhar Rao), Telangana Chief Minister and TRS President filed his nomination today on 14th November, from the Gajwel constituency in Siddipet district for next month’s Assembly elections in Telangana State. The Polls will be held on 7th December and the counting will take place on 11th December.
As the astrologers fixed the mahuratam, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief KCR submitted his nomination papers to the returning officer at the revenue office in Siddipet to seek re-election at 2.34 p.m.
Before filing his nomination, the Chief Minister KCR offered prayers at Lord Venkateshwara temple at Konaipally village in Siddipet district.
He said, “TRS (Telangana Rashtra Samithi) will win 100 of the 119 Assembly seats in the States and form the government in the month of December.” KCR was addressing the people of Konaipally after seeking divine blessings at the temple in village. He was accompanied by his nephew and caretaker Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao, who is contesting from the neighbouring Siddipet constituency.
Telangana’s caretaker Chief Minister and TRS supremo KCR added, “I want to see farmers of Telangana having sufficient balance in their bank accounts throughout the year by ensuring that farming becomes a profitable business.” KCR claimed that Telangana is the only state where Dalits and member of Scheduled Tribe communities are progressing and wished farmers of the state become prosperous.”
KCR has not lost any elections since 1985. He tasted defeat only in 1983, which was his first election. He further said, “I have won each and every election battle with the blessings of the presiding deity here. it is always a matter of pride for me to say I am the son of Siddipet though I have gone on to become the Chief Minister of the State.” KCR urged the voters to re-elect Harish Rao with a majority of over one lakh votes.
